Yes, for some categories of vehicle the security deposit can be paid in cash or with a debit or prepaid card (the Bancomat cards MESTRO circuit are not included). In case of deposit in cash or by debit or prepaid card, there is an extra charge of € 10 (one-off).

Yes, our company is one of the few in the world that allows the use of prepaid credit cards Visa Electron, PostePay, VPay etc. (MAESTRO cards are excluded) as well as payments for the payment of the security deposit . Also in this case, as well as in the cash deposit, the supplement of € 10 (one-off) will be applied

No. The  credit card holeder, used for the security deposit, can also be a passenger who is not a driver. A different card  than the one used to pay the booking may also be used. Obviously the card holder must be present at the pick-up time  to sign the rental contract where it will be indicated as guarantor.

No, the credit card deposit is not a charge. A pre-authorization is made with which the availability of the sum requested as a security deposit is verified. This sum is "made unavailable" until the cancellation (or closure) of the pre-authorization that will take place at the return  after the verification of the vehicle by our staff.
The balance will be available again on the card one to eight working days after the cancellation date, depending on the bank's policy. For some  cards the update of the balance can take up to thirty days, depending on the issuing bank (Carbustec has no role during these times and can not in any way intervene to reduce them).

If you choose the standard insurance (included in the basic rate) the security deposit required will correspond to the CDW (collision damage waiver). You can find this amount in the description table of each vehicle category. If you purchase am COVER insurance, the the security deposit will instead correspond to the excess  indicated close to  the chosen insurance.

E.g. Car category A1 ECONOMY:
a) Standard insurance (included in the basic price) CDW 800 = DEPOSIT  € 800 
b) Cover insurance : EXCESS € 400 = DEPOSIT €400
 

At the time of pick-up, a legible and valid driving license must be presented. Another document may be required to verify the residence. Photostatic copies of documents are not accepted. Provisional licenses are not accepted.

Yes, the rates shown are always inclusive of taxes and VAT

The basic prices always included the third party liability insurance (TPI) with a ceiling of EUR 6 million and collision damage waiver (CDW) with a n excess that varies according to vehicle category. The CDW excess is indicated in the description of each vehicle category.

Yes, you can buy a COVER insurance policy against all risks with a reduced excess. The COVER insurance can be chosen directly at the time of booking by ticking the desired box between the various accessories and services available or purchased at the counter at the pick up time.

In order to offer favorable prices, our rates provide a mileage limitation. This is specified in each vehicle category. The mileage limits have been prepared taking into account what is the average use of our customers but, if you need it, you can increase the mileage limitation through our online booking system or you can request the upgrade at the pick up  time.

Of course, through our online booking system  or in our office at the  pick up time you can increase the limited mileage choosing among the proposals for each vehicle category.

Do not worry, if you have exceeded the mileage limitation you will be able to pay the extra kilometers at the return of the vehicle. The cost of each extra kilometers is indicated on our website in the description of each vehicle category  and will be shown on the rental contract.

Fuel is not included in the rental cost, the vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel present at the pick-up and indicated in the rental contract.

A minimum age of 18 years is required for vehicles in categories S1, S2, S3, S4 (scooters from 50 cc to 125 cc) and M1 (motorcycles 125 cc).

 For vehicles of categories A1, A2, A3 A4, and S5, a minimum age of 18 is required (in this cases, if the age is below 21, the "young drivers" surcharge will be applied). For other vehicles, you must have at least 21 YEARS, while for the higher categories S6, M6, M7, M8, A6, A7, A8 and A9 a minimum age of 24 is required.

This is a mandatory price supplement for the rental of vehicles of the Cat.A1, A2, A3, A4 and S5 by drivers aged between 18 and 21 years or who have obtained a driving license for less than 1 year , which will have to pay an extra € 10 for each day of rental. The supplement can be paid through our online system booking  or at our office at the pick-up time.

Yes, provided that the original license is accompanied by an international license or an official translation as required by the relevant legislation.

Yes, as long as you hold a driving license issued by a member state of the EU (including Switzerland).

If, on the other hand, you hold a driving license for cars issued by a country that is not part of the EU, you can only rent 50 cc mopeds.
